The Polish foreign ministry summoned the Russian ambassador following the incursion of a missile into one of its eastern regions a day earlier, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Friday.

"Today, the Polish Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador in connection with the missile that hit Polish territory yesterday," he wrote on X, after the missile left a crater in a field some 80 kilometers (50 miles) from Poland's border with Ukraine.

The United States and 10 Asian and European allies issued an alert Friday, warning companies against employing North Korean IT workers whose labor was generating crucial foreign currency to fund Pyongyang’s nuclear weapons program.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said Friday that they had struck two tankers attempting to pass though the strategic Strait of Hormuz under the "air escort" of the U.S. military.

The IRGC said the "non-compliant oil tankers... were struck and brought to a halt, while four other oil tankers quickly changed course and returned to their previous positions".

Iranian state media said on Friday that the bodies of five members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) killed in joint U.S.-Saudi strikes in Iraq this week had been returned.

"The bodies of five IRGC members killed in the recent US-Saudi attacks on Iraq were brought into the country through the Mehran border crossing," in western Ilam province, the IRNA state news agency reported.

Israeli forces carried out a series of powerful detonations overnight near the UNESCO-listed Beaufort castle in southern Lebanon, Lebanese state media reported Friday, with Israel saying it destroyed tunnels used by Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.

"Israeli forces triggered very powerful explosions around midnight," specifically "in the area of the Beaufort fortress," Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) said, adding that the huge blasts resounded over a large area, shattering glass in nearby villages.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on Thursday that three of its members were killed in an attack by the United States on the northwestern province of Zanjan.

"In the brutal attack carried out by the terrorist regime of the criminal United States on 30 July 2026, three brave and devoted members of the Ansar al-Mahdi IRGC in Zanjan province... attained martyrdom," the Guards' provincial branch said in a statement, according to Tasnim news agency.

Lebanon's judiciary postponed a Thursday hearing for former central bank governor Riad Salameh over alleged embezzlement after he failed to show up due to illness, a judicial official told AFP.
