Report: Israel to Construct Concrete Wall Following Earth Day Celebrations
The Israeli forces have not set a definite date to construct a concrete wall along the Blue Line adjacent to the southern town of Kfarkila, despite their strong presence in the area, the An Nahar daily said Monday.
Logistical reasons could be delaying the construction of the wall, sources following up on the issue said, and pointed out that the process could kick off by the end of March following Earth Day celebrations.
Amid intensified Israeli patrols along the border, a number of Israeli soldiers drew on Sunday red marks along the technical fence near the town of Kfarkila in accordance with logistic measures to construct the wall, An Nahar said.
On the Lebanese side, members of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon and the Lebanese Army observed the Israeli soldiers’ movements.
Early this month, Israel began preparations to build the concrete wall of 800 meters in length after a crane placed several blocks in the area.
The wall will cover an area between al-Abbara southeast of Kfarkila all the way to Fatima gate. It is expected to be as high as seven meters and will be topped by a one-meter high barbed wire.

Germany built a wall as well and it was taken down. Build all the walls you want, but nothing will protect you. Instead of spending your time and money on walls, you should spend it on figuring out how to stop killing and oppressing over 1.2 million Palestinians. Your walls won't protect you against Rockets. That wall will come crumbling down all around you.
