Man Charged over London Stansted Airport Bomb Hoax
British police have charged a man for making hoax phone calls claiming that a van was on its way to London's Stansted airport with explosives on board, officials said Saturday.
Patrols around the airport were increased as a precaution after police received the calls on Friday, a spokesman for Essex police told Agence France Presse.
Paul Jackson, 40, from Blackburn in northwest England, was arrested on Friday morning and has now been charged with communicating false information, a statement from the local Lancashire police said.
