Kuwaiti Delegation to Arrive in Lebanon to Oversee Implementation of Agreements
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةA Kuwaiti delegation will arrive in Beirut at the weekend shortly after Prime Minister Tammam Salam's one-day visit to the Gulf country.
According to Al-Liwaa newspaper published on Monday, the delegation will head to Beirut to follow up the agreements held between Salam and the Kuwaiti officials.
“We came to Kuwait with a unified Lebanese stance that resembles the situation in the government of national interest, the coalition government that comprises all political forces which have agreed on consolidating security and stability,” Salam stated on Sunday upon his arrival in Kuwait.
“The relation with Kuwait is old and solid,” he added, thanking Kuwait for "its support and assistance to Lebanon."
Sources close to the delegation accompanying the premier told the newspaper that Kuwait is interested in maintaining Lebanon's political and security stability.
The sources said that Kuwait pledged to grant Lebanon $30 million from the Kuwaiti fund to assist the country as the Director General of the Arab Fundfor Economic and Social Development (AFESD) Abdullatif Al-Hamad vowed to aid the electricity sector in Lebanon with $200 million.
Salam held talks with Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah, his counterpart Sheikh Jaber Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah, Speaker Marzouq al-Ghanim and other senior officials.
The premier's visit comes in light of a visit by al-Ghanim last week.

Sorry Karim, the exclusive representative of explosives in Lebanon is "Assad n Co" ! His agent Samaha was unfortunately put out of business a while back. You can now refer to Hezbollah, Sayyed, Wiam Wahhab and other pro-Syrian dogs who will gladly supply you with what you need !
do not mind this idiot called karim. he is a shia extremist who thinks that only iran money is clean as his nasrallah told him :)
Lebanon relies on the Arab Gulf countries for its survival and that will not change.
