Fadi: Israel wants to start war? hmmm. so why fire starts always from Lebanese side then?
Fadi, a good commander never say GO to others, he says FOLLOW ME.
so if you are such a big hero and not a coward as it seems to be, why don't you and your sons standing in front of Lebanese and Hezbala troops?
Do you really want to go back to the stone age?
It is Hizb of Iran that wants to start a war. They exist and survive on war, destruction, and chaos. The soldier with edgy cock who fired most probably is a shiite and a follower of Hizb as are the majority of the shiite soldiers in the lebanese army. It appears something is bound to happen soon as Syria is under immense pressure and it would naturally direct its cronies in Lebanon to do something to divert attention from what is happening inside Syria. Just a gut feeling......
Citizen 1 you' re stealing words from my mouth.Tha' s exactly what I wanted to write down. We' ve seen how, despite the UN intervention a shiite officer, after the Hizb media were the only one called to the scene in advance, shot an israeli officer, over a tree pruning incident not so long ago! The french have alos said it this time: They will retaliate directly if they' re attacked, ad they said and I quote: eeryone knows who controls this area! Besides, the UNIFIL voiced it' s frustration not only over the inaction of the army but also, the fact that the intelligence shard with the army is immediately passed to the Hizb thugs! How is the army going to act? Remeber even in Chyiah, over a simple law enforcing presence, how their tanks were taken over by some Hezb militiamen, and when they tried to use force, some army members were arrested, accused of excessive use of force, an inquest was opened etc....That is to say, they are castrating the institution all the way down to the
to the individual sodiers, instead of punishing the thugs and the culprits! The army is only good at repressing peaceful demonstrations in Tripoli, but not in Dahyie, when tyres are burnt, roads cut, private property ransacked. The former is called a mere issue of public order enforcement, the latter a political issue which can do nothing about, and can only be resolved politically! Hopeless!
Dear Mowaten. You gotta understand one simple thing.
Israel is not a little pussy-cat that you can play around with. If Hizbullah want another round, lets go.
Thnk about it for a second. The great leader Hassan Nasrallah... where is he? hiding 89meters under the ground like rats and mice do, scared to show his face in day light. Why arent any of the Israeli leaders in bunkers?
Dont think for one minute that Iranian backed Hizbullah can damage Israel. What you dont see is that Iran is using Hizbullah in order to advance its nuclear capabilities, but once they have it, they dont need Hizbullah. A war between Israel and Hizbullah will destroy Lebanon, and Iran couldnt care less...
We need a new war, we need a new victory from the moukawama. We need to destroy the whole country again and aftermath kiss arabs' asses to help us in reconstruction. We need to destroy not just our bridges and roads, but this time as well the electricity stations and the water and phone networks, why not. Because the important for us is to raise or hands with the sign of Victory (remember the famous "V" that we love) on the dusts and to claim the divine victory. Yes because we are used to live among sewage and dirts, we miss them and miss their smell. That's our origin in fact.
Danny b... Who crossed over into Lebanese territory? The army fired warning shots. They have every right and if it were the other way round, you know that it would not have been warning shots but they would have been killed by the idf.
Truth, the lebanese officer who fired at the zionist terrorist soldiers while they were violating LEBANESE land was sunni, not shiite however he had support from both the shiite and the sunni community. Kindly check your facts before you write something. It would be nothing wrong if he had been shiite but your using the same old racist trick of blaming shites for everything you see as wrong, not that the hero officer did something wrong. Its only people like you, scared arabs who view it as wrong which is one of the major factors that israel was able to get this strong, because they managed to scare so many in to thinking they are superman whereas many of us have seen the zionist beasts wear diapers out of their fear from resistance groups.
Alijnoub, It doesn't matter who pulled the trigger, in the south incident.I am neither a politician nor a militiaman. Just a citizen observing. The important thing in this instance is the line of command to the trigger, not the actual pulling on it. Remeber Ali when photographs that were tampered with showing a supposedly LF militaman armed in Dora! And it was in fact an armed man in the south, which figured on the front page of a foreign magazine. In front of constant deception tactics, covered up today more than ever before by the illegitimate gov it makes one somtimes go by leads rather than hard facts, when the game has become only too obvious.ANd I think that' s a lesser evil than the attitude the Hezb has taken brushing off the hard scientific facts accumulated by the STL, hiding behind the mere arrogance arms can provide, and the Dahie production by Hezbollywood, showing old footage taken over the St Georges area, be it a spy file!
Mowaten... True. When a people believe they are a superior race than their neighbors, That they have been chosen by god against other human beings, than this is fascism and racism at the highest level. You would think that the Jewish people would have learnt after the horrors of the holocaust, that race and religion should never be used as an excuse to eradicate any peoples. This is the moral dilemma we face as a universal people, to confront such fascism and racism. We did it in the American civil war, in ww2, in south Africa, in the Balkans and now its Israel. we are all made in "his" image! We must confront those who believe they are better than others because of their race and religion and Israel is the only country I know of in the modern world that has this belief institutionalized in their constitution and national psyche!
The other thing Alijnoub is that for me life is too precious to put our country always on the confrontation line, in the hands of a small group who can control and feed us information the way he pleases. There were zero deaths on the Golan heights for years and years, expect recently when the Syrian regime send poor idealistic paelstinians to their deaths on the demarcation line. I don' t want us to act as proxies for the bloody neighbouring regime, and pay with the lebanese blood military inaction on the syrian border, just because a direct war is unwanted and feared by Syria! Enough of that, The Hizb doesn' t want diplomacy. Through diplomacy Egypt recouped every single inch of their land. What the Hafez Assad Syria done in the meantime? More repession, more war oriented economy., more manipulation and political assassinations in Lebanon. That has been their strategy. And I have the right to disagree with.I don' t want a minority to speak under my name, to steal election results
To steal elcetion results from me, and to submit the opplitical opponents throught blunt murder, and then call for dialogue.
Mowaten, its not Israel that harbors a defined terrosrist group. Lebanon is.
That same terrorist group is being prosecuted for the murder of your former president.
That same group will bring your destruction next round, why cant you see that?
Look at the riots in Syria... Who do you think is backing Assad up if not Iran and Hizbullah? Is Assad a terrorist by you for only yesterday killing 150 OF HIS OWN PEOPLE??? or is he just cleaning out the house?
We hide under the UN cover??? as far as I know, the UN are in South Lebanon (UNIFIL) to hold the lebanse away from the border and not the Israelis cause they know where trouble would come from...
If you just once tried to understand whta is the purpose of Hizbullah, you would understand that is a group of hate. There is a saying in Israel that says "Peace can be achieved in a day, if the arabs would love their childrent, more than they hate Israel". another one for you: not every muslem is a terrorist, but every terrorist is muslem...
Truth, u are lying when u say you dont care who pulled the trigger because in your first post you specificly said "a shiite officer", clearly you tried to smear the shiites again. Regarding Egypt, they didnt take back anything with dimplomacy, what happened was that they were given sinai in front of the cameras but in reality they are not even allowed to send a soldier to sinai, Egypt had to agree to this in order to get it back, not to mention the over 30 years of brutal opression that they got by sadat/ mubarak. Hafez al asad and his son are evil but then again mubarak and sadat werent diffirent. They even sold their tourism and sovereignity to israel. Or look at jordan, if someone says a word against the king, he ends up in jail where he is tortured, people are so scared of the mukhabaret that they even keep a huge image of their king in their stores and houses, israel owns all their torism- this is what "dimplomacy" got them, the only ones who benefited from it were the dictators.
As far as I know, the breach of 1701 is done on a daily basis by Hizbullah. Rockets are south of the Litani river, so if we need to go in, we do.
We do not cross the line to pick roses... we go in to clear the area due to violations by Hizbullah.
Truth, also, have do you know that that LF guy in dara was from the south? Do you know him? I dont even know the story so i wont accuse him of being LF allthough if it were true then i wouldnt be surprised considering LF:s history. As for hezballah, they liberated the south while the zionists were raping our land and women, while they were stealing our food, clothes, property, houses and opressing us- hezballah came to the rescue- all of this happened while people like you were dancing in nightclubs in beirut or collaborating with the zionists so please dont lecture us on hezballah to whom the entire south owns its life because you dont have any right whatsoever to do it. Also what election results are you talking about? the one that was bought by mustaqbal bribing poor people? give me a break da5ilak. Jumblat switched sides hence a new majority, no results were stolen! Hezballah is the south and the shiites, its here to stay, deal with it.
Yourself... Was the Norwegian that killed over 95 people a Muslim? Was martin Bryant who killed 19 in Tasmania, Australia a Muslim? Is the IRA Muslim? Is ETA from Spain, Muslim? Was haganah, Muslim or jewish? Was Irgun Muslim or Jewish? Was the stern gang, Muslim or Jewish? I can go on and on, with Hindus and almost every other religion. One man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. Please do not waste your time here with your twisted and manipulated version of history.
mowaten, well said bro. These people here on naharnet dont care if phosphor is being dropped on lebanese as long as it isent dropped on their areas, however if a hezballah supporter says a word to their disliking all of a sudden they are all ready to bark and talk about democracy and being against killings etc, in 2006 there were festivals in so many of the LF and Phalange areas, they were celebrating that bombs were falling on the south and they dare to call themselves patriotic or pretend they care about life.
This is the way it aught to be the Lebanese army protecting the border dealing with the Israelis nation to nation rather than letting the PLO previously and now the Iranian Islamic resistance in Lebanon dictate the terms of engagement.
My dear Mowaten. You know damn well we haven' tseen much as a general public the details of the inquest. Don' tlaugh, soon some will be crying! When you have 250 guys, some of the best i their fields, submitted to impeccable scientific standards, you trust their approach and what they can come up with much more than those who are party and judge at the same time. That their findings are or maybe used for political ends is a different story. You damn well understand that my comments are made in anticipation of what we can' t wait to learn about! Only truth can liberate people, can liberate individuals, societies, put historically societies on the path of restructurating, or rebuilding themelves, not some sort of twisted evil murderous minds dragging us on war paths, with hidden agendas of their own.
Asaf... This is exactly my point. I do not think that I am more superior than any other human being on this blessed earth just because of where I was born! Have you ever heard of the words "all men are created equal"? Not all men die equal or live equal. But we are all born equal and should have equal opportunities. I am not a communist that believes all men are equal no matter what. But we all have different ambitions in life and there are some more intelligent and some who are willing to work harder than others. This is not predefined by race, religion or nationality.
Ado I agree with most of your comments on Israel, except on the strategy to confront it. What would you say then when an Iranian is comdemned to capital punishment because he has decided to convert to christianity??
Asaf... I am shocked at how Jews have your view and support Zionism! This is exactly how the nazis thought. They thought that the ayrian race was superior to all others and in particular the Jews and Slavs. This mentality that the Jews are chosen and superior to gentiles is the exact belief the facist and nazis had towards the Jews! Zionism has morphed from a movement to protect Jews and reunite them with the holy land, to full blown racist, fascism, That is comparable to south african apartheid. At the end of the day, they are on the wrong side of history... And only the israeli public can stop their inevitable self destruction. Good luck.
Come on guys for God's sake let go this israel bull shit talking.... As arab nations we suffer autocracy and the lack of democracy. In the name of hostility toward israel we have been repressed for more than 60 years. No more, in Egypt military, in syria military, jordan all over the place for what reason? the truth is that only those repressive governments can protect israel. Syria doesn't want to destroy lebanon, it wants to integrate lebanon in its territory, that is all. And us stupid lebanese, we supported palestinians, syrians, israelis, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the hall middle east just to get weapons so we fight each others and today that is what hezbollah is doing. for almost 5 years not a single shot has gone of hezbollah weapons of-course toward israel but toward the other lebanese plenty has been going on things similar to the lassa case wake up lebanese be lebanese for once no militia no foreign interference no inter sectarian strife let us build a nation of culture

Truth... If that were the case, I would condemn it with all my heart. I am not a defender of Iran. Rather why is iran evil but saudi arabia good? Why is saad hariri who is actually born and raised in ksa, who had never even been to lebanon before, more lebanese than hezbollah? Iran allows christains and jews to live and practice in peace without fear of persucution. In saudi arabia, swiss airlines is banned becoz of the cross on the tail. People are forbiden to even have a cross in their homes. Christians celbrate christmas by closing curtains in their homes so neighbors cant see their christmas trees. There isnt one church allowed outside "designated zones" or ghettos. As a christain, I would rather live in Iran than Saudi Arabia. My point is that, no one talks about ksa, but Iran is evil? We are all Lebanese and I reject the Sunni/shiia cold war being played in Lebanon. Who benefits from a middle eastern, religious civil/cold war?
Mowaten no one gave anything to the STL. They sifted through the rubble and found, and found, what we' ll soon know about. And these facts will not be fought by some irrelevant urelated spy documents, assuming they were not fabricated in the first place. This justice is Better than the 4 hours justice from condemnation, to execution we see in Syria and Iran! Or even the unfounded Addoum one, we were lead to believe in the after hours of the assassination of Hariri. You can only fight their evidence in court, or else you' re self indicting yourself. The STL calls the shots not the other way round! When you are summoned to a tribunal you just turn up or face prosecution in absentia.Period. Soon they' ll find out the way Milosevic and others have wha
As to F16 you' re precisely confirming my point, F16 should be made to fly over Syria, and beyond and not only over our heads, to be the zealous subservient slaves of a foerign power, in order to meet on a common agenda, god knows what
It is to deal with an International tribunal , created by the UN, with the approval of those who are in the accusaiton box today, and under chapter 7!
Tehn again ado I agree with some of the comments you are making about KSA, and I wouldn' t live for that matter neither there nor in Iran. For me beyond Saad Hariri there are other structural and founding issues at stake. I cannot tolerate that a lebanese party, uses political assassinations openly to reach power, to impose a very controversial agenda on the majority, and ultimately who knows an islamic style republic. We see it sticking it s nose out here and there, with liquor banning etc... this is not what I want for me or my country. I dont want ot be either a bargaigning chip in the hands of Syria or Iran, each for its own strategic agenda, unless what applies to me applies to them, Syria first. So preventing those thugs to prevail, is only a small stone on the very long road to rebuilding what were once in Lebanon, true, very imperfect institutions but still worked.
Precisely Alijnoub the point I' m making is that some images were fiddled with on photoshop or whatever, and superimposed on an image taken at Dora, as though on that day there were armed LF guys as the article claimed, shooting on people. A cross had been added to the guys rifle if I recall well. And that picture had been taken from an international magazine (tTime maybe) seeral months earlier , and that article which subject was the south , took several pictures of a fighter in the south, which I assume wasn' t Italian, or from the Vatican! If you' re intersted I can dig out the references for you, but it won' t make an iota of difference to the point I am making.
Asaf... No, I do not care for all people's the same. For example, I care more for the Lebanese than the israelis.I care more for the ethiopians more than the French. I care more form the Zimbabweans more than the Germans. Not that I believe they are more important than the other. But I believe they need our care and help more than the other. The most powerful and rich countries care more for the Israelis than they care for the Palestinians. Why?Do they need their care more?Or is it more beneficial for them when the elections come around? However, unlike you,I do not think that one is more superior than the other.I believe, unlike the zionists that we all deserve equal opportunity in life, that all children deserve an education and health care.Unlike the Zionist government of Israel, that believes that the children of gaza do not deserve a primary school education and that the disabled do not deserve wheel chairs and that the general public do not deserve such advanced products as concrete!
