A man was arrested on Monday for killing his mother, 14 years after he was convicted with murdering his sister-in-law, the state-run National News Agency reported.
"The suspect hit his mother on the head with an agricultural mattock inside the family's home in (the Chouf town of) Wadi Bnehlay,” the NNA detailed.
"The body of Adele Lahoud had been found earlier but the attacker was not identified.”
The same source revealed that the arrested man had killed his sister-in-law 14 years ago and was detained for 13 years for his crime.
The man suffers from psychological disorders and is used to taking medicines on a regular basis, the NNA pointed out.
"He was under treatment at the prison.”
"Five months ago he was released from prison and returned to live in his parents' house,” it elaborated, noting that he committed his crime after suffering from a nervous attack on Sunday.
