Egyptian “Signen Clinical Discoveries” has been selected as one of the semi-finalist teams for this year’s MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Start-Up Competition for the Ideas' Track.
The project offers previously tested natural medicine extracted from advantageous vegetables in the MENA. Mohamed, Esraa, Sally, Dina and Lamees are specialized in pharmaceutical medicine, medicine and commerce; complementary areas that lead them to conceive and develop their project.
Inspiration
The partnership was not difficultly established since the team members are already relatives in the same family. They gradually met within mobilizing their local and international experiences for a private common business.
Project Briefing
Signen Clinical Discoveries team discovers herbs in Egypt and Arab countries, take advantage of them by producing natural medicines according to their own clinical observations or other researches’ institutes.
The project has a great developmental potential for recent studies show that MENA total market size of herbal and traditional products is 365.1 Million USD in 2012. Egypt is representing 6% of this market. MENA marketing is expected to reach 404.3 Million USD in 2014. It also encourages cultivating rare herbs, and encloses eco-friendly dimensions by investing fruits and green vegetables residues as resources.
The products target physicians and direct customers. Many of them were already experienced and had positive feedbacks such as Hyzalu cream, Super C cream, Ginseng, SlimFast formula…
