Break-and-Enter Attempt at Phalange Bureau in Ashrafiyeh
An unknown assailant infiltrated into the Phalange party bureau in the Beirut district of Ashrafiyeh but was able to escape, media reports said on Tuesday.
According to the state-run National News Agency, security forces arrived swiftly at the scene cordoning it off and searching it.
The Internal Security Forces opened an investigation into the incident.
Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5) reported that the assailant scuffled with the security personnel before fleeing the scene.
The radio station also said that the bureau is also includes the office of MP Nadim Gemayel.
