Real Madrid have made contact with Borussia Dortmund's Turkish play-maker Nuri Sahin over a move to the Spanish giants, according to a report in Wednesday's edition of the German daily, Bild.
Bild claim that Sahin, voted the best player in the first half of the current German season, has received an offer from Real, where Sahin's friend Mesut Ozil is already on the books.
Sahin, 22, is under contract with Dortmund until 2013 but a clause in his contract means he can leave the club in July if he is the subject of an offer of at least six million euros from another team.
Dortmund, who currently lead the Bundesliga by five points, have failed in previous attempts to open talks with the German-born Turkish international over a contract extension.
"I'm aware that my name has been linked with lots of clubs recently, but I've always said that I wanted to remain fully focused on the championship with Dortmund," Sahin told Bild. "Everything else doesn't interest me."
Sahin came through the youth system at Dortmund and made his Bundesliga debut in 2005 at the age of 16 years and 335 days.
