Large quantities of spoiled and expired fish were dumped in several trash containers in al-Bass town in the southern coastal city of Tyre, the National News Agency reported on Wednesday.
The Tyre municipality police arrived swiftly at the scene to inspect the goods.
According to NNA, the security forces launched an investigation to expose those behind the incident.
In March, Lebanese authorities launched a campaign against the spoiled food and raided several warehouses and shops.
They seized poultry, meat, canned food, cheese and several other consumer products.
