President Michel Suleiman and his French counterpart Francois Hollande are expected to discuss the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Lebanon over dinner at the Elysee palace on July 12, An Nahar daily reported on Tuesday.
Suleiman will travel to Paris on July 11 on a two-day business visit, it said.
The dinner between the Lebanese delegation headed by Suleiman and the French officials will be an opportunity to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon and the repercussions of the Syrian upheaval on the security situation in the country, An Nahar said.
It added that Suleiman and Hollande will also discuss bilateral ties and ways to consolidate them.
The role of the French contingent in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon will also be discussed by the two sides.
Suleiman’s schedule hasn’t been fully set yet as he is expected to hold discussions with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and other top officials, An Nahar said.
