Deputy head of Hizbullah's Executive Council Sheikh Nabil Qaouq accused on Monday some sides of seeking to change Lebanon and Syria’s identity through their criticism of the resistance and its arms.
He said: “Their focus on the resistance’s arms at this point in time is aimed at diverting attention from their smuggling of weapons to Syria.”
He added that these same sides are seeking to create strife, noting that they do not want to establish a defense strategy against Israel, but they want to harm Lebanon and Syria.
“The resistance will remain as long as the Israeli threat against Lebanon persists,” said Qaouq.
“It must bolster its military capabilities day after day in order to confront the occupier and any possible Israeli aggression,” continued the Hizbullah official.
“Those ignoring the Israeli danger are sitting in a suspicious position and committing a major national sin,” he declared.
