Caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri held talks Sunday in Riyadh with Saudi Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz.
Hariri and the crown prince "reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed the latest developments at the Arab, regional and international levels," Saudi Arabia's official news agency SPA reported.
Hariri held talks Saturday evening with Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz.
The meeting focused on "bilateral ties and issues of joint interest," said the Saudi news agency.
Beirut media reports have suggested that ties between Hariri and the Saudi minister's family, especially with his son Mohammed bin Nayef, had been tense recently after a statement Hariri made to the international investigation looking into the murder of his father, ex-PM Rafik Hariri, was made public.
