A dispute in the Beirut suburb of Shiyah-Ghobeiri between the families of Fadel and al-Masri erupted into an armed clash on Thursday, leaving two people wounded, state-run National News Agency reported.
The two were stabbed with knives, the agency said.
An army force immediately arrived on the scene and tried to contain the situation, NNA added.
For its part, MTV reported that three people were injured.
The armed clash took place on the eve of the 37th anniversary of Lebanon’s civil war, which erupted on April 13, 1975 with clashes in the Shiyah-Ain el-Rummaneh area.
