Prime Minister Najib Miqati held a meeting with President Michel Suleiman ahead of a cabinet session on Wednesday at the Grand Serail.
The two discussed at the Baabda palace the latest local developments and the issues facing the cabinet and the parliament.
Miqati left the presidential palace without making any statement.
The cabinet is expected to tackle thorny issues with 69 articles on its agenda during its session on Wednesday.
The government will discuss the defense ministry’s request to enroll 200 student officers in the army. It will also address draft-laws concerning money laundering, organizing the electronic media, and the dilapidated buildings in al-Nehme.
