President Michel Suleiman travelled to Armenia on Thursday on a three-day official visit that will include the signature of several cooperation agreements.
Suleiman left Rafik Hariri international airport along with First Lady Wafaa and a delegation of ministers and MPs on Thursday morning.
He is scheduled to hold talks with top Armenian officials and oversee the signing of the bilateral agreements.
Ahead of his visit to Yerevan, Suleiman told Armenia TV that the Armenians have played a major role in the modern history of Lebanon.
He also expected “very important results” from his visit to Armenia.
Suleiman and the accompanying delegation will return to Beirut on Saturday.
