Army Seizes Drugs, Arrests Syrians in Fanar
The Lebanese army said on Tuesday that it seized drugs and arrested three Syrians during raids in the area of al-Zaaytrieh in the North Metn town of Fanar.
A communique issued by the military command said a patrol raided the hideouts of wanted suspects on Monday, seizing drugs.
The troops also confiscated a stolen ID and driving license, in addition to a surveillance camera and communication equipment, it said.
Three Syrians were arrested in the area for entering the country illegally, the military stated.
The communique added that the detainees and the seized material were referred to the appropriate authorities for further action.
