Head of the Mustaqbal Movement MP Saad Hariri is expected to travel to the Egyptian capital Cairo on Saturday, reported the Kuwait daily al-Anbaa on Saturday.
Hariri's press office announced that he is scheduled to meet with with President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi on Sunday.
The meeting between the two officials will likely focus on the presidential elections, said al-Anbaa.
The daily added that talks are being held away from the media spotlight between Egypt and Saudi Arabia to resolve this issue.
Hariri and the accompanying delegation are also set to meet with a number of other officials.
Lebanon has been without a president since May when the term of Michel Suleiman ended without the election of a successor.
Ongoing disputes between the March 8 and 14 camps over a compromise candidate have so far thwarted the polls.
