Major Fires Erupt in Zalka and Master Chips Factory in Ferzol
A major blaze broke out Wednesday on the seaside road between the Hyundai firm and the Jamil Gemayel port in the Zalka area.
Civil Defense crews and vehicles managed to quickly put out the flames and halt their spread to fuel tanks in the area.
Cooling operations are still underway to prevent any renewal of the blaze.
Meanwhile, Naharnet learned that a fire erupted Wednesday at the Master Chips factory in Bekaa's Ferzol, the second such blaze in a few months.
The blaze ripped through a storing warehouse next to the factory, according to the obtained information.
A fire had erupted at a carton depot belonging to the same factory on April 16. Reports said it was caused by an electric failure and no casualties were reported.
