The March 14 general-secretariat criticized on Wednesday efforts aimed at targeting the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the indictment that will be issued in ex-Premier Rafik Hariri’s assassination case.
“Some politicians continue to make news conferences that do not bring anything new to (efforts aimed at) targeting the indictment and the international tribunal,” the general-secretariat said following its weekly meeting.
The statement said the alliance holds onto justice and stability and continues in its efforts to give the Saudi-Syrian initiative the chance to succeed in ending the Lebanese crisis.
The conferees also snapped back at March 8 officials who accused the March 14 coalition of hindering the work of the cabinet and torpedoing all-party talks at Baabda palace.
“Public opinion knows exactly who is boycotting the cabinet and the national dialogue under the pretext that the (parliamentary) majority, including the president, is rejecting that the issue of false witnesses be imposed on the cabinet,” the statement said.
Turning to Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun, the conferees criticized his campaign against the Internal Security Forces.
