Prime Minister Saad Hariri will not call for a cabinet session before making some consultations to avoid deterioration in the political situation, ministerial sources told An Nahar newspaper.
The possibility of holding a cabinet meeting was part of the discussions that Hariri held with President Michel Suleiman at Baabda palace on Monday, the daily said.
The two leaders met after attending the launching of the new judicial year along with Speaker Nabih Berri.
The sources told An Nahar that Hariri wants to make the consultations ahead of setting a date for the cabinet session because the March 8 forces insist on their stance that the council of ministers should have the final say on the issue of false witnesses.
