Mizalla.com Launches First Online Shopping Mall Platform in Lebanon

Mizalla.com, a Lebanese online services, marketing, and retailing company, has launched Lebanon’s very first online shopping mall.

The new shopping mall gathers various retailers and hundreds of brands under one platform. It offers a variety of products to be delivered door to door within 24 hours and with a minimal delivery fee.

Products include cameras, home theatre televisions, software, laptops, scanners, computers and their components, and other electronics. The online mall is kicking off with electronics but will incorporate additional categories on a monthly basis. Items will include books, clothing apparel, kitchenware, cosmetics and items that one can find at a local shopping mall.

Mizalla.com’s platform enables shoppers to locate items from different brands and to compare specs and pricing with other items of the same category from the comfort of their home or office.

Shoppers can also choose their method of payment. They have the option to pay in cash on delivery or safely online with a credit card. Mizalla.com provided the strategic cash on delivery solution since most Lebanese shoppers are not accustomed to paying online via credit card.

The idea is to give Lebanese consumers a dependable experience so that they can shop conveniently without the hassle of daily impediments like time lost on the road in traffic jams.

Mizalla.com’s team has made this possible by arranging individual contracts with different merchants. The team sets a store for a specific retailer within the platform, inserts products, guides customers to and through the website, then delivers products, tracks shipments and collects revenues.

“We offer a full package to retailers; this allows them to focus on their business while we do the work. This mechanism also allows us to take care of maintenance and update in order to ensure consistency and an outmost quality to shoppers” says Mizalla.com’s co-founder Haytham El Khoja.

Mizalla hopes to establish itself as a first-rate online shopping destination where users can buy the products they want at competitive prices from well-known and trusted retailers. It is currently available in Lebanon and is in the process of expansion to cover other countries in the region.

This initiative comes at a time when technology that assists to the growth of electronic commerce--such as the quick development of social networks that enable sharing across the web--is intensely on the rise.

It also coincides with Lebanon’s phase of transition into a country that provides reliable internet to its citizens as the Lebanese telecom ministry is making drastic changes to the country’s internet infrastructure.
