Gunmen Kill One Person on Khalde Highway
Unknown assailants opened fire on Tuesday at a car on Khalde highway south of Beirut, killing one person and injuring another.
According to the Traffic Management Center, unknown gunmen in a Jeep Envoy opened fire at a white Renault Rapid carrying the license plate 259312/M.
The victim was identified as Mohammed Khayyal.
Security forces arrived swiftly at the scene and opened an investigation into the incident.
The assailants fled to unknown whereabouts.
According to Voice of Lebanon radio (93.3), the incident comes in light of a dispute between the families of al-Daher and Othman.
